The Office of Industry Contracts (OIC) exists to make getting a research agreement in place with the University as easy as possible while ensuring the resulting agreement is in conformity with University policies and processes.
Industry Contracts provides information and support to faculty, staff and others engaged in sponsored activities with industry/for-profit organizations and clinical trials (sponsored by any entity - including governmental/non-profit entities.) This includes the negotiation of agreements with sponsors including budget review, and proposal/application approval for submission to industry sponsors and sponsors of clinical trials research. OIC serves as the authorized signature authority for sponsored agreements with industry/for-profit organizations (this includes governmental flow through if the funding to the University is via the industry sponsor (e.g. SBIR/STTR) and government or non-profit sponsored clinical trial research). OIC serves as the primary contact for organization using the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs and works to increase faculty involvement in these programs with small business.
Industry Contracts is staffed with individuals who are committed to strengthening the University's research mission in clinical research and research/services with industry. OIC is organized in two divisions to serve you: Clinical Research Services and Nonclinical Industry Collaborations.
