Research Technologist I
The Department of Chemistry and Center for Regulatory and
Environmental Analytical Metabolomics (CREAM) has an opening for a Research
Technologist I to start immediately. CREAM is a newly established center
equipped with state-of-the-art mass spectrometric instrumentation for a
system-level analysis of metabolic pathways and regulation, which will greatly
accelerate the progress on biomarker discovery, development of therapeutic
targets, and environmental impact on organismal health.
The duties of the incumbent
include maintaining mammalian cell cultures, routine laboratory equipment
and laboratory inventory; conducting cell culture experiments and preparing cell and
tissue extracts for MS and NMR analysis; performing gel electrophoresis and
Western blot analyses; and preparation of experimental reports. Experience in
