Areas of Reserach Interest:

    • Analysis of enzyme structure and mechanisms by electronic spectroscopy (circular dichroism, fluorescence and uv-vis), solution scattering methods (dynamic light scattering, small angle scattering);

    • Stopped-flow reaction kinetics, thermodynamics and hydrodynamics.

    • Protein expression and purification and stable isotope labelling.

    • 2D and 3D heteronuclear NMR for the determination of structure, dynamics and interactions of nucleic acids and proteins in solution.

    • Computer programming for data analysis and simulation of NMR relaxation behaviour in complex spin systems for structure determination.

    • Use of stable isotope tracers for analysing metabolic regulation in vitro  and in vivo  by NMR.
