Occupational Health and Medical Program

UofL's Occupational Health and Medical Program supports the health and safety of employees whose work may involve occupational health risks.

The Department of Environmental Health & Safety (DEHS), in collaboration with campus and external medical providers, provides risk‑based medical surveillance, clearance and preventive services for individuals with potential exposure to chemical, biological or physical hazards.

Participation in the Occupational Medical Program is determined by job duties and regulatory requirements, including applicable research and accreditation guidelines. Medical records and clinical information are maintained confidentially by healthcare providers and DEHS's occupational nurse.
