Leadership & Administration provides strategic direction, operational oversight and administrative support for UofL’s research and innovation enterprise, guiding institutional priorities while ensuring effective coordination across programs, partnerships and services.

The Office of Sponsored Programs Administration (OSPA) manages the administration of all externally sponsored activities, including research, training, and service projects funded by government, nonprofit and industry sponsors.

The Office of Research Compliance & Integrity leads university programs that promote responsible conduct of research and ensure compliance in key areas including export control, conflict of interest and research security.

The Human Subjects Protection Program Office (HSPPO) ensures that all UofL research involving human participants complies with federal and state regulations and university and sponsor policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of research participants.
