PI Maintained Nonmammalian Housing

Principal Investigators (PIs) maintaining non-mammalian (fish, amphibian, reptile) species and providing daily husbandry and animal care must follow the principles outlined in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (8th Edition, 2011). Records of daily observation, mortality, and routine practices such as feeding, water changes, and water quality assessment must be maintained for review by University Committee for Animal Welfare (UCAW) and Research Resources Facilities (RRF) staff. Access to RRF veterinary staff must be made available at all times.
