About Us
The Advanced Computing Core (ACC) has been formed to extend the scope of the resources and services provided by the Research Computing team to enable cutting-edge research at UofL and beyond.
Services
- Hosting and managing computing and storage resources purchased by UofL faculty and staff through their funds either as a part of the central university wide cluster or as a stand-alone system
- Long-term management of research data
- Research software development, code optimization, and software installation and deployment
- Extended collaborative support for users (multi-week engagements for consultancy that are beyond the scope of the service tickets)
- Providing workforce development opportunities (in the form of trainings and certifications) at the local-, regional-, and national-level
- Ensuring compliance to different standards on the computing and storage resources
- Vendor and contract management for advanced computing and storage needs
- Training on HPC, AI, and large-scale data management
